Again . . . We're off . . . again!

We’re off . . . again! Here’s the story . . .

So we headed out in March and got as far as Sarasota, all of 50 miles away. Then trouble struck. Our generator died which is a Huge deal. So we decided to head back to St. Pete where we had friends, a car, great dockage, and people we knew in the marine industry who could help us get our new generator.

Now here we are, April, 30 and finally on our way for our summer journey. This time, however, we have a new generator, new holding tank and head system, and many other smaller jobs completed. We are out with two other boats, Know Agenda (Captains Scott and Rusty) and Blue Skies (Captains Hugh and Sharissa) on our way to the Dry Tortugas. We are leaving under sunny skies and LOTS of wind. Enough that we fair weather sailors are staying “inside” (i.e. in the ICW and not out in open water) until the wind dies. We plan to spend a week in the Tortugas before heading to the Keys.

To our St. Pete friends – Whew! The Metros have really left this time (even though no one contributed to our www.willtheyeverleavebuti’mstillnotgivingthemanotherparty.com fund).

To all our other friends and family – we hope to see you all soon!
