Today's the day! Sunshine - check! Calm breezes - check! Start your engines, let's go boating boys! (We've been watching a lot of NASCAR lately)
Our stay in St. Pete could not have been more perfect! We spent so much time with our friends: Johnsons, Juster-Kruse's, Clarks, Gadjos, Sweeney, Metros, Evans, Maloney/Klein, Hoggs, Segneffs, Kaltenbachers, Hazeltines, Alfie, Sean, Jacek, Scott and Rusty, Steve (our dock neighbor) and even out of town friends came to see us: the Lowes and our Australian friend James stayed with us for a couple of days. Nicholas made a new friend in Nate the SPYC dockmaster - I think Nicholas has a new career. We loved the SYPC docks and will definitely return. We are very grateful for having so many wonderful people in our lives - thank you all for being such great friends.
We also took the opportunity to work on many projects - a new windlass (to save Nick's blown out veins), leaks repaired, (yet another) new inverter, a new microwave, new tile in the master, oil changes for both engines/transmissions/generator, new holding tank, new windspray windows in the flybridge and a few other little items all while keeping jobs and homeschooling Nicholas. Eileen loved her time back at Canterbury with her friends!
Our first destination is Pass-A-Grille Yacht Club where we'll hook up with family: Uncle Dave, Aunt Janet, Mom and Dad, cousin Mike with wife Pam and kids Ella and Evan are all going to converge on the boat and Pass-a-grille beach for some good ol' fashioned family bonding.
Hmmmmmm . . . I wonder how Cesar will do once the boat is underway?????
