So clost to FL, Nick could toss Eileen across the border!

Ah Chahleston! Leaving was tough, especially our marvelous friends, the Adams Family (not THAT Adams family). We are so blessed to have found such great friends. The kids, too, love Savanna and Ashley (even a little crushin' going on between Nicholas and Savanna - geesh, we're not ready for that!). We had an extraordinary Halloween filled with a fun party and picture perfect trick-or-treating. Eileen was Thorn (scary, rocker chick from Scooby Doo for those of you NOT in the know) and Nicholas was a Dementor (scary creature from Harry Potter). Nicholas' goal this year was to "creep the girls out."

We headed to Beaufort, SC, a picturesque town with a great waterfront park where we hooked up with an Australian family we had met in Charleston: James, Katie and kids Meg and Sofie. They joined us for dinner on Lady Enna for a little adult conversation ("So what exactly is 'chunder' anyway?" We learned the answer . . . you don't want to know.) and kid play time. We plan on seeing them again soon.

We are now anchored off of Cumberland Island, GA looking forward to a great day of exploring the island.

Life is good at the end of an anchor!
