Wildlife Update

Last night we went on a little drive in our rental car and took advantage of the beautiful weather and scenery in Maryland. The weather has been fantastic (high's in the lower 80's/low's in the upper 60's). Come along!

Heading north on Hwy 2-4, we ran into MD 746 which meandered through curves and hills, nice, trim homes and the occasional corn field. It was about 7:30 p.m. - the sun was still clear but shades of dusk were lurking in the trees. We encountered a private beach community nestled in the woods where we saw a large deer which was so still, I knew it was a statue. But then it moved and started casually eating grass. It apparently didn't care that we had stopped the car and were actively staring and giggling at our discovery. We watched that deer for 10 minutes before it finally walked away. We were hooked and the wildlife search was on! Further driving took us through more curves and at least five more deer as well as a few bunnies. Oh, and Eileen and I watched a large groundhog walk through downtown Solomon's Island.
