We made it to Virginia and we're loving it! From our anchorage, we can see the downtowns of both Norfolk and Portsmouth as well as the Naval port that's here. The ships here are so huge (how huge are they?), they are so huge, when one passes by, we can't tell if Norfolk downtown is actually moving or if it's one of the vessels.

We enjoyed walking around historic Olde Towne Portsmouth as well as bustling downtown Norfolk. Today we're headed to the York River where we'll see historic Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, and Yorktown. Kids, get those pencils sharpened - I can smell some essays coming!

Life is good at the end of an anchor!

  1. I am so excited for you guys! I am glad you made it out "there" and please let us know when you are back in the St Pete area. I would love to hear the good and the bad first hand.
