While in Charleston, we got to see a piece of American history - Ft. Sumpter. Nicholas wrote in this in his journal.
When I was in my boat, I saw Ft. Sumpter. Ft. Sumpter was part of the Union in the Civil War. The war was between the North and the South. it's important because it was where the first shot was fired.
I didn't like Ft. Sumpter because it wasn't cool even though I learned about the Civil War.
