Marco Island - Day three

Today we left the north end of Sanibel Island to go to the Shark River to anchor out. Unfortunately, the waves were too high for most of the Metros (Eileen, Mom were feeling yucky, Nicholas was okay, and Dad didn't even notice), so Dad drove most of the day and the rest of us did our best to keep breakfast down. After six hours of beating waves, we bagged the Shark River idea and headed in to the Marco Island Yacht Club which offered us a pool, a hot tub, lots other kids and, most importantly, calm! We were also able to take our first bike ride together as a family which was a blast! (And just between you and me, I don't mind telling you that my, shall we say, back side, hasn't seen a bicycle seat in 10 years - sheesh!) On the animal front, more dolphins all around and a manatee greated us as we headed into Marco's bay. To our faithful readers, here's a little contest: name the creature in the pics and video . . . you could win millions!
Life is good at the end of an anchor!
